Bootleg Meditation Beads

So yesterday I developed a hyperfixation on prayer/meditation beads. I wanted my own but the store I went to didn’t really have an option I liked so I bought some beads and made my own. Next time I work on a project involving beads I’ll use a needle. I learned the hard way. The number of beads is 42 because that is the answer to life, the universe, and everything. JK in reality I bought two strings of beads and they just so happened to be 42 all together. I used a yin yang pendant because I like the symbolism of complimentary opposites. I also think it looks cool. The gemstones used are lapis lazuli and howlite.

I’ve always had a hard time meditating and I’m hoping the beads will help me focus better. I like the way they look and feel in my hands.

There is a list of banned media in Hotel OJ. Not for a nefarious or controlling purpose, but because the pieces of media have some sort of harmful representation of DID in them, and not only does Paper (+ Yin-Yang for that matter) not want those ideas shown or getting spread around, but because OJ, being in charge of the hotel, doesn't want that shit in his hotel. Good boyfriend activities!!

I like to think that, earlier on, Knife's presence/proximity can be a trigger for EP/Looseleaf to start fronting. With what happened in episode 2, it makes sense that Knife would remain a perceived threat, yeah? In instances like s1 ep14 in which Paper feels more in control of the situation, it may not trigger EP, but if there isn't that sense of control they'll front when Knife gets close, more often then not. This would improve with time/distance, but EP will continue hating Knife as Paper continues disliking him.

I like to think that part of the reason that Paper brought up OJ's self-centred tendencies in the s2 finale was thanks to EP. Not in the sense that they're inciting conflict of course, but in the sense that they're sick of seeing Paper getting upset because of said tendencies, and if Paper doesn't talk to OJ about how it makes him feel already, then they're going to do it for him. It's an issue Paper's been silently tolerating for a while now, yeah? He's mild-mannered about it since he doesn't want conflict, but EP has no such qualms.

Hm. Paper buys some chewelry (wearable item that can be chewed on for stimming) for EP in hopes that they will maybe bite a few less people when they're fronting. It doesn't really work, but Paper himself starts using it and biting on it, and EP is very pleased. They have a long discussion on the joys of biting things in the headspace, it's a nice talk :).

I like to think EP has a particular fondness for Pickle. Yes, they did brutalize him that one time, but I think they'd like having been called 'Looseleaf' by him. I think they'd like the name a lot and end up using it for themself rather than just being called Evil Paper. Once they decide on it, they're very strict about enforcing the use of their new name.

energy weather observations

today I got to really watch how

the dynamic changes

from just my energy

to the energy that becomes me

and my three wildcard children

they are always surprising me

when I'm alone I like to play calm music

something that soothes with nature

or may adds a nice flute or soft drumming

but I need more ambiance with my first two

because my oldest son is like the glowing moon

and I often call my daughter starshine

and while those two elements are often shown together

the stars are just faraway suns burning brightly

they only look smaller to us from where we are

they also fight like the yin yang of the spiritual

they jab at each other subtly so that the true game

is about who ends up lashing out first

you have to watch the whole dynamic

to see who the true instigator was

my daughter does it better but my oldest son

he can burst into his own flames

if you poke him long enough and she does

I finally got the two of them balanced

and everything was pretty quiet

and then my youngest son was delivered

he came in like chaos burns in the dawn

already yelling and grabbing toy guns

the two brothers started wrestling around

right in front of their sister until she squealed about it

and they're both laughing and carrying on

and it just takes a bit of time for them all

to get harmonized and blended again

but they know everything is okay

and they understand the changes now

so things are far more tranquil than they've been

for what seems like so long

breathing doesn't seem like a reasource

I need to keep quiet or careful

my body seems willing to take in

all the oxygen and space it needs

my oldest and I were talking about

crushes and he said something that made me

smile and rub my own face

yeah, if I like someone I just like

stop talking to them because suddenly

it's weird and I'll just ignore them

and I started laughing and he did too

and I told him I have a habit of doing the same

and my daughter told me some stories

about kids in her class and I'd stopped her

a moment and asked her to explain

what she meant by "bad" when she described

another kind because sometimes I've noticed

the "bad" kid in stories if often just the most honest

and she shook her head and said

no, he's bad because he lies all the time

and he's so mean to the quietest girl who is kind of

a pick me but she also steals boyfriends and we

don't understand why he's so mean to her

but I don't like her because she flirted with

my friend ambers boyfriend

and I nodded and just listened the the story

thought I did say that if he lies all the time

and is that badly behaved in school

his home life is likely hard but that doesn't mean

people should have to put up with bad behavior

I love how they perceive things and I try not to

interject too much because having your own mind

as a friend you trust is a peace not everyone can give you

and maybe that's how you know

when you're close to someone truly

is you can have your own mind as a friend

and so can they which means you'll fight

but only people who are close have conflict

in that ways that get so emotional

intimacy and connection is painful sometimes

but it also means you matter

and your thoughts are safe

and so is your heart

their beautiful chaos teaches me something

about myself every single time I'm around them

I blamed myself so much for letting the last relationship

hurt all of us and not getting out fast enough

but there was a lot of joy in between the trials

during the crush talk my oldest asked if I had a crush

and I told him that I did and we mused over that

and I admitted that I'd been scared because of

what happened last time and he said so quickly

that if it's what I wanted it was alright

he asked some questions about him

and I answered them and I knew he trusted me

in this energy because my son was playful and his own

adhd started showing in his actions and stims

he talked again about hating to look people in the eyes

and everything just feels right and makes sense again

now that everyone is balance and all the energy

between the three of these little creatures is calmer

it's time to wrangle these wild cats into a store

or maybe we could just order in dinner

who knows what is going to happen

but it will be quite the adventure

it usually always is
